Facts:

In 1989, I was initiated into Phi Kappa Zeta, Gallaudet University's oldest sorority. Immediately after initiation, I felt at home. I became President of the Alpha chapter of PKZ after serving as its vice president. Volunteering with PKZ enabled me to serve the university as well as the Deaf community.
